Backwash Water Recovery for Mt Kynoch WTP with Veemax® Clarifier Thickeners
Mt Kynoch WTP is a 68ML/d water treatment plant that uses filtration to process raw from various raw water dams.
Project Overview
The treatment plant was upgraded to include backwash water recovery. A Hydroflux Epco VeeMax® Clarifier Thickener was installed into an above ground concrete tank.
The unit is driven by a reduction gear motor. The scraper runs continuously and is protected by a torque limiter.

- Proven heavy duty sludge removal system, suited for thickened sludge.

- Suspended scraper mechanism means less maintenance on the rubber squeegees.
