Future Proofing Glenelg STP’s Secondary System with LogMax® Clarifiers
SA Water’s Glenelg STP processes wastewater from the south west region of Adelaide, with a capacity of to the equivalent of 200,000 persons or up to 60MLD.
Overview
The treatment plant was originally built in 1932 and today comprises of a modern design incorporating nutrient removal, three MLE trains and advanced tertiary treatment for reuse. A recent upgrade of the B train included the award of 4 x EPCO clarifier mechanisms.
The scope of works included:
- Replacement of four clarifier internals
- Scum box
- Radial scum scraper
- Skimmer arms
- Skimmer blades
- Rotating bridge
The installation showcases the ability of EPCO Australia equipment to be retrofitted into existing clarifier tanks. With over 330 clarifier installations, EPCO Australia, part of the Hydroflux Group are best positioned to deliver new and refurbished clarifier internals.
Recent innovations include the CleanSweep® Launder Trough clearing system and CoverSweep® launder covers, which are structurally strong, provide a long design life and lightweight.
