HeadMax® Suction Head Clarifier with EdiGate® Dispersion Inlet for Parkes STP
Parkes is located in central NSW and is famous for the Parkes Radio Telescope.
Project Overview
Recently a new sewage treatment plant was constructed by John Holland and part of the process included a tertiary clarification process. Hydroflux Epco supplied a 15M HeadMax® Suction Head Clarifier. An EdiGate® energy dispersing inlet was provided as part of the package. Sludge is hydraulically transferred through the HeadMax® mechanism to the central sludge hopper and out of the clarifier via the cast in sludge pipework. The sludge removal mechanism is fully suspended which means there is no contact with the floor.
Key benefits of the HeadMax® include:
- Flat floor construction of the clarifier saves on civil costs.
- Full suspended system meaning there is no contact with the floor, hence minimal wear.
- All stainless steel construction for wetted parts.
- Heavy duty drive system with minimum maintenance requirements.
