Multiple FlareWell® Gas Burners for Bolivar STP
SA Water’s Bolivar STP is one of the largest and most advanced treatment systems in Australia.
Project Overview
The solids stream treatment process includes a number of anaerobic digesters which processes primary and secondary sludge, to generate biogas, and ultimately electricity. In 2006 Hydroflux Epco supplied a number of FlareWell gas burner systems. These flare the excess biogas produced from the anaerobic digesters.
The system included pilot burners, flame arrestors, sediment traps, site installation works and control units. The gas covers were provided with the necessary ancillaries, such as the ballasts, sight port assemblies, sample hatch covers, pressure/vacuum relief valves and emergency relief valves.
Key Benefits:
- Extensive expertise in sludge digestion equipment with over 80 references.
- Compliance to AGA codes.
- Certified for Class 1 Zone 1 areas.
- Pipework assembled with AGA approved jointing tap.
- Booster motor for pilot to AS2380.
